Poem: Your Worlds

One of my many many poems about the world, I look forward to sharing them all. (Most anyway- some are rather dark!)

POEM: YOUR WORLDS

You stepped into the unknown

Into that world that’s unforgiving

You wish for that world of your own

The one that made your life worth living

The one you had you didn’t realize

Really was a sweet paradise

This world is not what is appears

It gives you so many fears

Lies to you every day

And hurts you in a painful way

Now you stare at the world you left behind

And wonder what got in your mind

You must’ve been crazy to leave that

But since you left you can’t go back

So you’re stuck with all those cuts and bruises

And now you’re just a toy that amuses

You miss being the puppeteer of your land

But now you’re a puppet instead of a man.
